Magazines And Papers Wanted By Men In N.Z. Naval Ships Overseas
An appeal is being made b'y the Wanganui Branch of the Navy League for recently dated magazines aqd papers fqr men on New Zealand naval vessels in waters overseas.
“There is a big deqianfi among the men on those vessels for , reading matfer of that clqss,” said the president ot the brqnch (Mr. N. R- Bain) yesterday. “The Navy League here will see that whatever ipagazines aiid papers are handed in will be promptly despatched. There is a ship leaving Auckland quite soon, and we would be glad of help to fulfil the wants of those serving with the Navy away from Ne\y Zealand.” Magazines and papers, addressed to the “Wanganui Navy League." may be left at the Ladips’ Rest, St. Rill Street.
