THIRTEEN POUNDS EACH FOR WETHERS; NINE FOR LAMBS; HIGH WOOL PRICES
SYDNEY, Aug. 31 (Reed. 9 p.m.)—Following the jump in wool prices Australian record prices of £l3 9s Id for Merino wethers and £9 2s Id for lambs were paid at today’s abattoir sales. The normal price for wethers is about £6 per head. The yarding was small, as many farmers withdrew sheep from, sale due to high wool prices.
