Boxing Enthusiasts Promised Good Bout On Monday Night

Boxing patrons are promised a good bout in the Opera House on Monday night, when N. Stanford (Wanganui) meets Pat Mclvor (Hastings) i n a middleweight contest of 10 rounds. Stanford is the ex-middleweight champion and Mclvor the former middleweight champion of Hawke’s Bay in the amateur grade. They have now joined the professional ranks. As both are “go in” fighters a good bout over 10 rounds is assured. First-class amateur boxers from Marton, Taranaki and Wanganui will also take part.
