CITATION SETS TWO NEW WORLD RECORDS
NEW YORK, June 3 (Recd. 8 p.m.) —Citation created a new record for the mile and became the world’s leading stake-winner today when he won the Golden Gate Mile at Albany. California. Citation’s time, lmin. 33 3-ssec. was 2-ssec. better than the record established by Coaltown in Chicago last August. Citation’s win today brought his total stake-earnings to 924,630 dollars, eclipsing by 6145 dollars Stymie’s stake-winning record.
