CONFERENCE TO PLAN BETTER DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD IN WORLD
STOCKHOLM, June 3 (Rec. G pm).—The Internationa] Federation of Agricultural Producers will be asked to work out a world plan for the distribution of dairy produce and eggs in all areas with food shortages, the chairman, Sir James Turner, said yesterday. The Congress is also to discuss better distribution of wool, cotton and sugar and the possibilities of making longer term wheat contracts. Mr. J. Patton, president of the American National Union of Farmers, said the Federation should push harder for the formation of a World Food Board to distribute surplus production among the poorer areas.—Router.
