POWER. RESTRICTIONS FOR RAETHI
As from today electricity restrictions will be enforced in the Raetihi Borough Council’s supply area, stated the town clerk (Mr. G. E. Budd) last night. No power will be available during the hours of midnight to 6 a.m. There has been a great fall in the levels of the rivers, said Mr. Budd, and at the present time the position is serious, On a few previous occasions the supply of power has been restricted In Raetihi. Unless there is adequate rainfall the present restrictions will be imposed for some time, he added.
