Because of ill health, Superintendent N. M. Ross has resigned from the Wanganui Fire Brigade. His resignation was accepted with regret at a special meeting of the board and will be effective from March 31. Superintendent Ross has been a member of I lie Wanganui Fire Brigade since 1924, and became superintendent on the resignation of Mr. .1. Williams 17 years ago. He was the second superintendent since the Wanganui Fire Brigame came into existence as a permanent body in 1919.
