STALIN’S “GESTURES” TO CAPITALISM
MOSCOW, Dec. 22 (Recd. 6 p.m.)—ln a Stalin birthday article in “Pravda,” Georgi Malenkov, a member of the Politburo, said that Stalin believed socialism atd capitalism could exist together. Malenkov mentioned five separate instances since the war where Stalin made statements on his belief in the co-existence of the two systems. “The V-SjS.R. regards as fully acceptable the path of peaceful competition with capitalism,” Malenkov wrote.
