New Manager For Amalgamated Theatres In Wanganui
Mr. W. T. Dye, manager of the Regal Theatre, Auckland, has been appointed manager of Amalgamated Theatres picture theatre in Wanganui (the Opera House). He has had a long association with ( picture theatre interests, having been i’manager of the Regent (Whangarei), Empire (Dargaville), State (Te Kuiti), I and State (Hastings). For seven years Mr. Dye was in the employ of Hamilton Theatres Ltd., having control of the Regent and Roxy Theatres. An enthusiastic trotting man, Mr. Dye is a former driver and trainer and has had many driving successes to his credit. His father, Mr. T. H. Dye, of Auckland, is well known in trotting circles. Mr. Dye is a keen bowler and was secretary of the Frankton Bowling Club.
