Representative games with Taranaki for men’s and women’s senior and colts teams and to be arranged by the Wanganui Softball Association over Anniversary Day week-end, following a decision reached by the executive committee. Mr. W. Bruce presided.

The Wanganui men’s representative team which is to play in the Beatty Cup competition at Wellington will leave Wanganui, accompanied by the coach, Mr. A. Allen, and the manager, Mr. W. Bruce, by bus at 1.45 on January 1. Mr. Allen reported that the men’s representative team is shaping very well and that when they leave for the interprovincial championships they will be on their nest form and should do very well. Mr. L. A. Moyle, who is the organiser for the New Zealand women’s championships to be held in Wanganui during the first two weeks in January, expressed concern at the lack of response for an appeal for billets for some of the visiting players who are coming to Wanganui from Auckland, Manawatu, Waikato, Hutt Valley, Wellington and Canterbury. The executive decided that a full meeting oi' delegates from all clubs will be held next Monday, December 17. The local competition games will conclude this Saturday for the Christmas break and also while the National Women’s Tournament is on. Championship garpes will resume early in the New Year.
