KEEN COMPETITION AT GONVILLE CLUB’S SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Keen competition was a feature of the Gonville Amateur Swimming Club’s carnival held recently. Results were:— 50 yards intermediate boy's —freestyle: K. Bristol and P. Murdoch. 1 equal, M. Cantwell 3. Medley relay: Aramoho 1, Conville 2, Castlecliff 3. Senior and intermediate breast, and hack,—so yards: D. Wilkinson 1. B. Baird 2, W. Anderson 3. Junior dive: R. Hood 1, B. Anderson 2, G. Gaskin 3. Senior dive: S. Carew 1. B. Cromarty 2. W. Anderson 3. 50 yards senior and intermediate girl’s freestyle: B. Baird 1. P. Gibson 2. M. Reid 3. Grotty Cup: Gonville 1, Aramoho 2. 100 yards senior men’s freestyle: W. Anderson 1, L. Domney 2, J. Jackson 3. 25 yards girls. - under 14: Tishard 1. Leahy 2, Neilson 3. Breast and back, —tinder 14: B. Holt 1, P. Hannon 2, B. Dempsey 3. Beginners race: G. Walstrom 1, I. Baird 2. 25 yards boy’s,- under 14: j Tishard 1, Churton 2, Armstrong 3.
