Fat And Store Sheep Sold Well At Wanganui Sale Yesterday

Because of the election, there was only a light yarding of stock at Freeman R. Jackson and Co.’s Wanganui sale yesterday. The attendance of buyers was small. Both fat and store sheep sold we’l with a total clearance at late rates. The cattle sale was rather neglected, passings at auction being fairly heavy, but quite a few head were sold privately after the sale. Only two pens remained unsold. 41s 6d; light 4-tooth wethers, 40s; fat ewes, to 28s; store 2-tooth wethers, 38s 6d to 38s Bd.
