Voltaic To Reappear In Sprint At Feilding
Wide interest will be taken in Voltaic’s form at Feilding on Saturday in view of the fact that he is now expected to play a prominent part in the decision of some of the major events at the New Zealand Cup carnival. Voltaic certainly lost a lot of valuable work when he suffered a track injury on the eve of the Wellington
meeting, but he responded miracdblously to treatment and he is again hitting out attractively at Awapuni. The Revelation gelding comes to hand quickly, too, and trainer G. New is hopeful of having him near his‘ best for Riccarton. Success in the Flying Handicap at Feilding would entail no rehandicap for the C.J.C. Stewards’ Handicap, and, as he is not weighted out with 9.9 in the minor event, Voltaic should make a bold bid. He won this race two years ago and then suffered the narrowest of defeats at the hands of Want wood in the big Riccarton sprint.
