CANADIAN TEAM FOR EMPIRE GAMES
OTTAWA, Nov. 8 (Recd. 7.48 p.m.) —The organising committee of the Canadian British Empire Games Association decided to send 61 athletes to the Empire Games in Auckland next February. The association originally hoped to send 62 to the Games but several weeks ago announced that it would send only 50 because of the scarcity of’funds.
The committee today decided that the association could raise enough money to send 61—47 men and 14 women.
