Two Aircraft Types Suitable For N.Z. Transport Squadron
DUNEDIN. Last Night (PA).—The Minister of Defenc? (Mr Jones), in •the course of an address to the elections at St. Kilda tonight, referred to a recent visit of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice-Marshal A. de T. Nevill to Britain to see the latest types of aircraft. Mr Jones said the vice-marshal had reported that there were two typos of aircraft that would be suitable for lhe Dominion’s transport squadron—the Bristol freighter and the Hastings. “Both these machines could be used in the Dominion, if necessary,” Mr j Jones said, commenting on the viceImarshal's report.
