Bonn Chosen As Capital Of Western Germany

BONN, Nov 3.—The West German Parliament's lower House (the Bundestag) today voted Bonn as the capital of Western Germany. The voting was 200 to 176, with three abstentions and 11 invalid votes. Frankfurt was Bonn's rival for the seat of Government.

A special committee Investigated the merits and costs of preparation of the two cities and reported that Bonn would need £8,300,000 sterling more spent on it than Fankfurt. The Constituent Assembly chose Bonn and the High Commissioners approved it, but the final selection was with the Bundestag.
