Maple Leaf To Be Used To “Canadianise” The Canadian Navy

OTTAWA, Nov. 2 (Recd. 6pm).— Instructions have been given for a maple leaf to be painted on the funnels of naval ships, the Defence Minister, Mr Brooke Claxton, said in the House of Commons today. Mr Claxton, who was answering a question, said he was in complete agreement with the Royal Commission’s recommendation for “Canadianising” the Royal Canadian Navy.
