WANGANUI SOFTBALL DRAW FOR TOMORROW
Competition matches under the control of the Wanganui Softball Association will begirt on the Gonvllle Domain tomorrow. The men's section will compete for the Benzol Shield and the women's section for the Hula Cup. Wanganui is the venue for the New Zealand women’s championships, which will be held from January 3 to 12. and billets are sought for some of the players. Those who can assist are requested to 'phone Mr. L. A. Moyle, the tournament organiser (5030)* The draw for tomorrow is:— Men: Giants v. United. No. 2, 3 p.m. (umpires, W. Trow and C. Hartley); Aces v: Red Sox. No. 2. 1.30 (D. Terry and C. Croucher); Star v. Wanganui East, No. 4, 3 p.m. (C. Hartley and M. Hopper). Women: Star v. St. Mary’s, No. 1 3 p.m. (L. Moyle and D. Boobyer); Amazons v. Athletic, No. 1. 1.30 (C. Hartley and K. z Terry); M.I.A. v Dodgers, No. 3, 1.30 (L. Moyle and B. Russ); Chllco a bye. All umpires are requested to report to Mr. Moyle at 1.25 in order that local ground rule* may be finalised.
