W.D. Remits Remits passed at the Dominion conference of the W.D.F.F. included one which advocated the observance of one Sunday a year as W.D. Sunday, when members would attend special church services. A suggestion made to the executive was the establishment of a hospitality committee which would entertain Dominion and overseas visitors. Plunket Society Concert About £2O was raised by the Wanganui East branch of the Plunket Society at a concert on Thursday night. Messrs. W. Cadwallader and J. Mack were comperes and those contributing were: Madame Ivy Perrett and Mrs. R. W. Stewart (songs), Miss Valda Purdy (paino), Brown Bros, (cowboy items), Miss O’Keefe (sketch), Jeanette Carr (song and dance), Mr. Wilson (magic), and Mr. Ayers (trombone solos). The Catholic women’s drama circle presented a Play.
