ARMY APPOINTMENTS SOME PENDING CHANGES
WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA)— The Minister of Defence. Mr Jones, today announced the appointment ot Colonel G. H. Clifton- D. 5.0., -M.C., Commandant of the Army School, Trentham, as senior N.Z. military liaison officer in the United Kingdom. Colonel Clifton, who will take up his new position in September, will succeed Brigadier G. B. Parkinson, C.8.E.. D 5.0., who will return to New Zealand to command the Southern Military District. Colonel Clifton’s successor as commandant of the Army School will be Colonel J- I. Brooke, 0.8. E.. who is at present at Army headquarters as director oi cadets and rifle clubs. Colonel Brooke will be succeeded by Lieut.-Colonel F. L. H. Davis, now Chief of Staff, Southern Military District.
