Russia Is Speeding Consolidation Of The Cominform
LONDON, May 30 (Recd. 6 pm).— Soviet leaders in Moscow have launched a vigorous new drive coinciding with the “Big Four” talks in Paris to tighten up the organisation of the Cominform throughout the world, sayfc the “Daily Mail’s” Stockhom correspondent. Scandinavian experts in Russia base this belief on two main facts: (1) The visit to the Czech Communist Party Congress in Prague of two of the Kremlin’s most efficient organisers, the vice-Premier, Georgi Malenkov, and the 25-year-old propaganda chief, Mikel Suslov, one of Stalin’s young eagles
(2) The appearance in the Soviet Press of a spate of articles emphasising the role of Moscow Bolshevism as the guiding force of a world proletariat. Communist chiefs from 29 countries, including China, France, Italy and Germany, attended the Prague rally, which seems to have been a pretext for confidential talks with emissaries from Moscow. Articles in the Soviet Press indicate that the real task of Malenkov in Prague is to prepare a new programme of action for Communist leaders.
