National Bank Of N.Z. Declares Dividend
WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA). —Head office of the National Bank of New Zealand, London, advises by cable that the directors recommend a final dividend for the year ended 3l, of three per cent., less United Kingdom income tax, at a rate of nine shillings in the pound. An interim dividend of two per cent., less a similar tax, was paid in January last, the distribution for the year thus being five per cent, less tax. The net prolits for the year amounted to £160,412 sterling, which, with £119,280 brought forward from the previous year, makes available a total of £279,692. After the dividend payments have been made and claims of pensions funds and contingency accounts met, there will be £138,460 to carry for-, ward.
