MAORI RUGBY TEAM
SIDE CHOSEN TO TOUR AUSTRALIA WELLINGTON, Last Night PA). —Past All Blacks and provincial representatives are included in the Maori Rugby team selected to tour Australia this season. The team was announced today. Notables among the backs include the All Blacks P. Smith, and B. Couch, and with men of the calibre of H. W. Kenny, N. P. Cherrington, N. Delamere and others, sparkling open football should be the order oi the day. The veteran All Black and grand forward, S. T. (Tori) Reid figures in the selection. A. W. Blake, L. and R. Hohaia, A. L. West, R. S Bryers and others in the forwards. The team is:—Full-back, 11. W. Kenny (Wellington); wing threequarters, N. P. Chcrrington (North Auckland), W. Lannigan, R. McKinley (Poverty Bay>; centres, W. Taylor (Nelson), N. Delamere (Bay of Plenty); five-eighths, P. Smith (North Auckland), B. Couch (Wairarapa), B. W. Beazley (North Auckland), T. Kepa (Auckland); half-back, L. Raureti (Bay of Plenty); forwards, K. Matthews (Wairarapa), G. Parahi (Hawke’s Bay), W. Carrington (Bay of Plenty), L. Hohaia (Taranaki), A. L. West (Auckland), A. W.
