Man Pleads Guilty To Thefts Of Money
NELSON, Last Night (P.?| Ernest George Haines, an employee of the State Forest Service who acted as nosi-master at the Golden Downs Forestry Camp pleaded guilty to theft of sums totalling £335 13s 9d, Evidence iiowed he entered the savings bank deposits in the passbooks but did not. forward the cash from deposits, nor statements relating to them in respect of money orders. He had sent forward the appropriate advice to the paying office but not the cash he had received with orders. Haines was committed to the Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence.
