MANGAMAHU DOG TRIAL CLUB COMPETITIONS CONCLUDE YESTERDAY
The Mangamahu Dog Trial Club’s annual gathering was concluded in showery weather yesterday on the new course, on the property of Mr. W. Kellick. Catering arrangements in the hands of the committee of Mangamahu ladies proved most satisfactory and evoked warm commendation. Judge for the events was Mr. S. Steedman, of Taihape. The events concluded yesterday were the long head (class 1) and the short head and yard (class 2). In the former there were 42 entries and in the latter 52. Results are:— Long head (maximum points 50): R. Gower’s Clyde, 46J points, 1; W. Ross’ Peter 46, 2; R, Davis’ Tim 44i, 3; R. Guthrie’s Jean 44, 4. Short head and yard (maximum 60): J. Boon’s Bet 57, 1; R. Gower's Clye 56£, 2; H. Gullery’s Say 53, 3; D. Hunter’s King 501, 4.
