ASHBURTON FARMER COMMITTED FOR TRIAL ON MURDER CHARGE
ASHBURTON, Last Night (PA) -—When he appeared in the Magistrate’s Court, Ashburton, today, charged with the murder of Brian O’Connor, aged 68, engine driver, at Chertsey on March 18, Samuel Arthur Protheroe, fanner, aged 41, pleaded not guilty, and was committed by Mr. E. A. Lee, S.M., to the Supreme Court, Christchurch, for trial.
