Annual Meeting Of The National Chrysanthemum Society
Presided over by Mr. W. G. Davison (Wanganui) the annual meeting of the National Chrysanthemum Society was held in Wanganui yesterday. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Mr. R. McC. Miller (Wanganui); president, Mr. D. B. Shand (Timaru); senior vice-president, Mr. A. Gibson (Marton); vice-presidents, Messrs Davison, K. Kitney and F. Moorby (all of Wanganui), J. A. Hollows, A. J. Shailer (Palmerston. North), F. T. Tindall, Dr. A. C. McKillop, L. J. Manson (all of Christchurch), H. S. Hungerford, V. M. Dickinson, J. Black (all of Dunedin), L. Lennie, W. J. Henry (Invercargill), C. Norman Nieolls (Auckland); treasurer, V. M. Dickinson; auditor, G. H. Elliffe (Dunedin); secretary, A. Knapp (Dunedin); executive, Messrs Hungerford, W. G. Hilliker, S. J. Webb J. S. Austin, G. H. Elliffe, C. W. Preen and A. Ross (all of Dunedin), Tindall (Christchurch), G. Knowles (Timaru).
The 1950 North Island show will be held in Auckland, and the South island in Timaru.
