Mr. G. P. Hawkins was re-elected chairman of the Wanganui Fire Board at the annual meeting yesterday.
Mr. K. A. Williams (Marton) chairman of the Rangitikei Catchment Board, has been elected deputy president of the New Zealand Catchment Boards’ Association.
Mr. Howard Elting, junr., has been formally recognised by notice in the N.Z. Gazette to act as Consul of the United States of America at Wellington. —Press. Assn.
