OBITUARY
Mrs. Emma S. Hinton Mrs. Emma S. Hinton, who died recently al. the age of 75, was a welli known figure in Rangitikei and Feildmg districts. Born in Dunedin in 1874, she was lhe eighth child of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Nicholson, who came out to New Zealand from Scotland. Mrs. Hinton later resided with her parents in Wellington, where she married hep first husband, the late Mr Horace Couchman, who died early in the present century. In 1915 she married Mr. William Hinton, who managed farm properties m the Rangitikei and Feilding disi riels. The late Mrs. Hinton is survived by hep husband, w ho resides in Feilding, two daughters, Mrs. Ivy Couchman, of Wanganui, and Elsie England), two sons, Mr. George Couchman (Feilding) and Mr. William Couchman (Taranaki), three brothers and one sister.
