N.Z. ATHLETIC TEAM TO MEET AUSTRALIA IN COMING TEST
WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA). —The team to represent New Zealand against Australia in an athletics test at Wellington on March 5 was announced today by the administration committee of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. The selectors were Messrs. J. W. Holley and R. Beattie. The team is as follows: 100 Yards: A. R P. Eustace (Auckland), D. R. Batten (Canterbury) and C Parker (Waikato). 220 Y’ards: Batten and Parker 440 Yards: J. C. Grierson (Auckland), J. Sutherland (Canterbury). 880 Yards: Grierson, J. D. Sinclair (Otago) and G. Waller (Wellington). One Mile: Sinclair, M. L. Marshall (Waikato) and N. Pates (West Coast, North Island). 120 Hurdles- Eustace and I. R. Smith (Wellington). 220 Hurdles: Smith, D G Steward (Auckland), J. S. Williams (Canterbury). 440 Hurdles: Steward and Williams. Broad Jump: D. Dephoff (Canterbury), W. B. Hough (Auckland). Hop, Step and Jump: Dephoff and Hough. High Jump: J. H Borland (Canterbury), R. McKenzie (Waikato), G. H. Jeffries (Otago). Shot Put: J Morgan (Otago), D. H. Herman (Canterbury). A mile medley relay is to be arranged.
