OLD SOLDIERS NEVER DIE. According to one newspaper, the bowls to be used by returned servicemen in the annual tournament at Wanganui next Saturday are to bear a 1042 stamp (or later). Now then you soldiers who fought with William the Conqueror, take the mat and see what you can do. Play bowls against the veterans of Waterloo. Were they some “Drys” out to devise Law that denies all liquor supplies. Waimarino, look to your estate, Four hundred's too many too late!
