Waterfront Holidays At Christmas And New Year Arranged
WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA).— Christmas and New Year holiday arrangements on the waterfront have been determined hy the Waterfront Industry Commission
Work will cease at noon on Friday, December 24, except where permission is given for work to continue to 5 p.m. on that day when a ship is finishing. Work will be resumed on Wednesday. December 29. and conclude again on the following Friday. Ports which observe their Anniversary Day on January 2 will not return to work until the Wednesday morning after New Year's Day. 6*her ports, including Wellington, will resume on Tuesday. Tor Welling’on, Anniversary Day falls on Saturday, January 22 and will be observed as a holiday on Monday, January 24.
