“Love Chocolate” Was Nothing Unusual But Had Good Sale
LONDON, Nov. 29 (Recd. 1..50 pm) —When the police investigated the manufacture of a sweet called “Love Chocolate” and labelled “Conifitures amoueuses fine quality ladies,” they found it was only ordinary chocolate and liquorice, says the Associated Press Stockholm correspondent. The manufacturer put the mixture in fancy bags and charged Is 9d a bag. As the chocolate circulated the price rose to 17s—which led to police investigation.
