Need For Exchange Of Research Workers
AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA).— The importance of the exchange of research workers in science between New Zealand and Britain and th v sending overseas of advanced students as a means of keeping up with the rapid advances being made in specialist fields, was emphasised by Dr. G. H. Cunningham, Director of the Plant. Diseases Division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. Dr. Cunningham, who is stationed at Mount Albert, returned to the Dominion in the Rimutaka after a seven months’ visit to Britain.
“Most of the research stations in Britain are very up to date. They lead the world today in the problems of biology, which I investigated,” said Dr, Cunningham.
