“Fun And Frolics” Revue By Felt And Textiles

"Fun and Frolics” was the name given to a revue produced by Mr. H. G. Greathead, and held by the Wanganui Felt and Textile Staff Social Club on Thursday evening in the Savage Club Hall. One of the features of the programme was a mannequin parade staged by eight men and compered by Mr. N. Joll. The fashion display and commentary caused peals of laughter. A men's ballet was another item enjoyed. Mr. H. Davis was musical director and wrote the music and words for the opening chorus. The company also gave another chorus and a Maori action song.

Dick; trio, Mrs. Eden, Mrs. Cox and Miss Reid; conjuring, Mr. D. Donachie. Other items were a sket.'a, "Over the Garden Wall,” produced by Mrs. B. N. Edwards and played by Mrs. Eden and Mrs. Hylton. Another sketch. “Earlv Birds,” in which Misses Cowley, Watson, Sadler, Ryan, Roberts and Reid took part, was produced by Mrs. C_ Cox. Taking part in several sketches and other items were a number of men. Mr. M. Morris made the opening' remarks. Community singing was enjoyed just before the interval, and the programme, with its 22 items, concluded with “Now is the Hour.”
