Address To Women In Baptist Church

Yesterday afternoon, Mrs. Bamber, wife of the Rev. Theo Bamber, ot Rye Lane, London, addressed a public meeting of women in the Baptist Church. There was an attendance of over 60. Mrs. N. R. Wood presided and presented a spray of flowers to the speaker. Mrs. Bamber gave some impressions of New Zealand and how they had for their first meal on the boat beef and ham, which they appreciated on account of the lack of meat in England. She stated that she and her husband had visited every Baptist church from te Bluff up the East Coast. The speaker then dealt with spiritual matters and snoke on Job, noted for his patience, and the grand old characters of the Old Testament. She said that challenging difficulties are sent to test us for our good. All have a testing time when faith is needed then. She showed how Job had been rewarded for his faithfulness. Mrs. H. E. Tipper sang the solo, "Oh Lord, Most Holy.”
