Speedboat Averages 48 M.P.H. Under Difficult Conditions At Auckland
AUCKLAND. Last Niehl (PA).— The first national speedboat contest for the S. W. Moult Water Speed Gold Cup was decided at Westhaven yesterday afternoon. The 25 singlestepped hydroplane Redhead scored an easy win and proved the fastest boat in New Zealand, averaging 48 miles an hour under difficult conditions. Two Auckland boats. Barracouda and Supersonic. were second and third respectively.
