Australian Rugby League Team Defeat Halifax
LONDON, Nav. 28 (Recd. 8.30 pm). —The Australian Rugbv League team defeated Halifax, 10-8: The half-time score was 5-5. The match was played in fog, and some scoring movements could not be seen from the press box. The game was keenly fought, with the Australians frequently on the attack in the closing stages.
The ‘‘Manchester Guardian” says the Halifax team made a remarkable experiment by putting the Maori centre three-quarter, K. Rika, into the second row of their pack.
