No New Cases Of Poliomyelitis For A Week
WELLINGTON. Last Night (PA). —The present week with no new cases of poliomyelitis reported is the first clear week for seven months since the recrudescence of the outbreak in Wellington. This was stated tonight by the District Health Officer, Dr. Hubert Smith, who said that as with the rest, of the week today had been a clear day ‘‘This is the most hope fill position we have been able to report for some considerable time,” said Dr. Smith. “It is perhaps too early to forecast optimistically, but we think it is a most hopeful sign."
