Australia Urges New U.N. Approach To The Greek Problem
LONDON, Oct. 31 (Rec- Bpm). Australia, has appealed for an entirely new United Nations approach to the Greek problem, says Reuter’s Faris correspondent. Colonel Hodgson asked that representatives of Greece, Yugoslavia, Albania and Bulgaria at present in Faris should meet to see if some agreement can be reached among themselves as to procedures and methods whereby their differences might be composed.
A desultory debate on Greece continued throughout the day with the Eastern speakers charging the United States and Britain with using Greece for their strategic purposes, and Western delegates condemning Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Albania for helping General Markos’s forces.
The debate was adjourned until Tuesday.
