Mr. W. 11. Colman, who died recently, was referred to Mr. Mr. G. P. Hawkins, president of the Wanganui East Bowling Club on Saturday. He said Mr. Colman had been a valued member of the club and had been the donor of the clock in the pavilion. As a mark of respect members stood in silence. Reference was also made of the death of Mrs. E. Holloway, the widow of a former prominent club member.
Mr. Justice Christie arrived at Wanganui yesterday and is a guest at Foster’s Hotel. He will preside at the quarterly sessions of the Supreme Court which open this morning.
