Record Entries For Manawatu Show Next Week
Record entries totalling 3323 have been received by the Manawatu A. and P. Association for its annual show to be held on Friday and Saturday next week. The total compares with 3073 entries in 1947 and 2687 in 1946. In the horse section there are 1437, cattle 1046, sheep 679, and pigs 161The commodious facilities have been extended and stock accommodation has been substantially enlarged. Sideshow alley has been fully booked with many new features. The show will be open both nights. The High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, Sir Patrick Duff, will give an address on Saturday.
