Crown Case Ended In Charge Of Murder Against Butcher
CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night (PA> —The hearing of the charge against William Albertus Ivan Stuck, butcher, aged 40, that he murdered Bertha Bessie Amy Day at Paparua on May 14. was continued in the Supreme Court today. The Crown case was concluded this afternoon, 49 witnesses having been heard. Counsel for the defence said he would not be calling any evidence. The court adjourned until tomorrow. when counsel wifi address the jury and the Chief Justice (Sir Humphrey O’Leary) will sum up.
