Death Of Mr. D. Baigent Supervisor Of The Bulls Post Office
BULLS , Last Night (00).—-The death occurred at Bulls about 10 o’clock on Tuesday night of Mr. Donald Baigent, supervisor of the Bulls Post Office. Mr. Baigent was a son of Mr. Charles Baigent, of Wakefield, Nelsen, and was in his 48th year. He had been in the department for 30 years, being stationed at Palmerston, Rongotea, the South Island, Petone, and Bulls for the last three years. Mr. Baigent was attending a birthday party and collapsed while making a speech. He had only just resumed duty after three months’ sick leave.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
