Munro Loses Appeal Munro Loses Appeal In Vagabond Case
MELBOURNE, Oct. 27 (Rec. 8.30 pm).—The Victoria Racing Club committee this afternoon dismissed the appeal by the leading jockey, Darby Munro, against his two years’ disqualification tor the riding of Vagabond in the Burwood Handicap on Caulfield Cup day.
It upheld the appeals of Frank Sournay (owner) and Dan Lewis ‘'trainer). The decision means that th'* Now Zealand-bred co t Vagabond will be able to run in the Victoria Derby and Melbourne Cup. He is highly favoured in both events.
