Manawatu Rugby Rep. Teams To Play Wanganui
The Manawatu senior Rugby selectors (Messrs L. J. Mullins, T. J. Miles and P. O. Skoglund) have announced two representative sides to meet Wanganui in matches on July 10, as follow:
Senior A (to play Wanganui at Wanganui): Harkness; Webb. Keenan. McNae; Morgan, Colquhoun; New; K. Collier; Nichols, Garlick, Simmonds, Puketapu; Waldegrave, Gordon, Richardson. Reserves: K. Graham, J. Butt, Kana and Guy. Changes in the team are the relegation of E. Guv from the back of the scrum to the reserves, and the inclusion of K. Collier m that position; H. C. Young was not available because of an inter-Varsity match, and his place at lock has been given to D. Simmonds. E. Bresnehan has been dropped as a reserve forward, and Kana included.
The Manawatu senior B team to play Wanganui B at Palmerston North is:—Rush; B. Collier, E. McQueen, Potaka; J. Hutton, W. Muir; Barry; Craine; Coombes, Becker, Dale, Meaas; Golder. Burney, Fitch. Reserves: McKelvie, Clare, Baker. The winger, J. U. Potaka, is a Maori All Black nominee, and a iormer Rangitikei and Wanganui representative.
