Birkenhead Dockers Strike In Sympathy

(N.Z.P.A.—Reuter—Copyright) Recd. 1 a.m. London, June 28. Two thousand dockers in the Merseyside port of Birkenhead struck in sympathy with the London dock strikers. Reports from’ Liverpool docks said a proportion of the men there also joined the stoppage. The Birkenhead stoppage is unofficial. There are no perishables aboard the ten ships off which the men walked, as Birkenhead is an export port only.
