Army Relations Assn. Holds Reunion

An enjoyable gathering took place yesterday when a reunion of members of Army Relations Association took place in Christ Church Parish Hall. Mrs. W. Searle, who was president when the association disbanded, extended a warm welcome to all present. She said it was the wish of members that the reunion be an annual affair. Mrs. H. G. Horsley, the first president, in a brief-talk said that most of the members of the association had their sons back after the war, but there were a few who were not so fortunate, and to these she expressed sympathy. Mrs. T. Russell, who was the second president, moved a vote of thanks to those who had contributed to the enjoyaole programme. to those present for attending and to Mrs. Searle and Mrs. A. Hurst for arranging the afternoon. It was decided to nold a reunion every year in the second week in June. Hydrangeas were used for the platform decorations. Songs given by Miss Margaret Rowe, Mrs. H. Tipper and Mrs. Bellringer, also dances by Ailsa Tizard were very much appreciated. Mrs. R. Tizard was accompanist. Afternoon tea was served.
