P. AND L. CUP MATCHES AND A BOGEY MATCH AT TAWHERO ON SATURDAY
Those members of Tawhero Golf Club without Peters and Larsen Cup engagements, will play a Bogey Match on Saturday. The major’.ty will be playing their Cup matches. The links had a nautical look last Saturday, and few matches were played. Number 7 green was a sheet of water, and there was much water in evidence on the fairways. Overhead a large number of seagulls circled. The weather remained fine however, and with an alternative green and one of the tees shifted “shorewards" a fair number of golfers made the best of conditions. The cup matches played resulted:—E. Done won from N. Harre, G. Chamley won from M. Ryan, and L. Nixon won from P. Jackson.
