New Post For SubInspector J. Walsh
Sub-Inspector J. Walsh, formerly of Wanganui, and for many years chief detective at Auckland, has been appointed officer in charge of the Auckland detective branch.
Highly respected by members of the force and the public, Mr. Wa’sh has been in the force since 1917. He
was promoted detective-sergeant in 1935 and transferred to Auckland from Wanganui. He has taken an Important part in inquiries into major crimes in the Dominion during the past quarter of a century.
